Pantry Dedication

Sunday morning, March 17, Bishop Julius Calvin Trimble from the Iowa Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church dedicated the Pantry building. Bishop Trimble told the nearly 200 people who attended that “this is a day of rejoicing…May this place seek to nourish people as all are welcome in this space.” Bishop Trimble was joined by the Rev. Dr. Robert Burkhart, Assistant to the Bishop and our former East Central District Superintendent; the Rev. Dr. Arthur McClanahan, Conference Director of Communications; the Rev. David Crow, our current District Superintendent; and the Rev. Jill Sanders, Field Outreach Minister of our District. A story about the event is on the Conference website at http:// www.iaumc.org/news/detail/1201, which also includes links to conversations with Greg Dils, Pantry Board Chair, and Tina DuBois, Pantry Director.
