Adult Studies

We offer a number of adult studies throughout the year. Some are drop-in studies that you can attend whenever you like. Others are short term (4-8 weeks) groups or long term (30-40 week) groups. Topics include Bible study, spiritual exploration, and building community.

Adult study group - A drop-in class for anyone who wants a discussion of Advent using the Book Christmas from the Backside. Led by John Grindle, class meets Sundays at 8:45 AM at the church.

Bible study - A drop-in class for anyone interested in Bible study. This fall's topic will be the book of Acts. Led by Paul McRoberts, class meets at 9:45 AM Sundays in the pastor's office.

Companions in Christ: Revised - This 28 week small group focuses on spiritual formation within the context of Christian community. Experience Jesus like never before through spiritual practices and community. Try the first five weeks if you are unsure. Join either of two sessions: Led by Dave and Lynn Jansen, class will meet Thursdays from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, starting September 17, cost is $15. Led by Pastor Alecia Williams, class will meet Tuesday mornings from 9:00 - 11:00 am.

Class begins February 14 from 6:00-7:45 at the church. Child care will be provided with prior reservations. This is a 13 week study. For more information or to register, contact Pastor Alecia Williams. If you are struggling with your finances, this class cannot come at a better time.

The group will discuss this book, one chapter at a time. Led by Pastor Alecia Williams, class will meet the first and third Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the church.

Understanding the Bible: A Beginner's Guide to Unlocking the Mysteries - If reading Scripture leaves you scratching your head, join this evening class to gain a better understanding of the Word. If you are new to the faith or new to reading the Bible, this class is a foundation. Led by Janet Rudolph, class will meet Thursday nights at 7:15 pm in Rooms 5 and 6 at the church.
