I'm new

I'm glad you dropped by our website. As you browse the site, I hope you catch a flavor of this community of believers. If you haven't had an opportunity to worship with us, I hope you will be able to soon at one of the three services on Sunday morning. There are a variety of connection points, programs and ministry opportunities available for you to experience here.

In a fast-paced world, it is easy to fill our calendars with events, yet we still long for something deeper. First United Methodist is a place where community resides. Worship is relevant and upbeat. Small groups allow us to know others and be known. Places of service allow our hands to become God's. All are welcome here--believers and seekers.

I've loved worshipping here with my family. I know from personal experience how the children and youth ministries of the church have greatly impacted my kids, Samantha (18) and Jonathan (16). The small groups have nurtured me, as well as others. While my husband serves the Coralville United Methodist Church, we have enjoyed the shared opportunities of ministry, fellowship and service that have taken place between the two churches.
