Organization
The First United Methodist Church organization is designed to enable and support the varied ministries of the congregation. The organization and ministries of the church are coordinated by the Ministry Council. Each area of ministry has a coordinating leader that represents that area on Ministry Council. (See Ministry Council for a list of area leaders.)
There are three standing committees, also responsible to Ministry Council, that support the organization and ministry teams. The standing committees are Finance, Trustees and Staff Parish Relations (SPRC). SPRC works with the pastor and oversees a talented staff that manage the day to day operations of the church.
At times, we will form ad-hoc teams to plan and coordinate specific ministries. These teams should always relate to and be supported by one of the ministry areas.
