Donate Clothing

Over 8000 pieces of clothing are given out each year, almost all of it donated from the community. Children's clothing in all sizes is needed. Adult clothing is limited to maternity and outerwear. Anyone who wants to contribute individually is welcome to drop off clothing at the Methodist church ( 85 N Jones Blvd ) at any time between 7AM and 6PM weekdays.

Anyone who would like to organize an office, school, or community children's clothing drive may contact the Pantry for assistance.

If you have adult clothing, you can benefit the pantry by donating them to Goodwill of the Heartland in Coralville. Goodwill helps us by providing vouchers that can be used in their stores. This enables us to assist adults with clothing while making the best use of our limited space for children's clothing.

Once a year in the fall we collect and distribute new and gently used children's coats and new children's underwear. If you are interested in donating to or helping with these drives, please contact the Pantry.

Our 2010 distribution served nearly 200 children and involved 57 volunteers. Tina DuBois, Pantry Coordinator stated "it was a joyous day to see so many people come together to help children in the community. The children were excited to pick out their clothes and everyone left with a smile."

Thank you to everyone who helped support this event including: Kohl's, AlphaGraphics, Flip Salon, Corridor Coffee, Grace Community Church, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hope Evangelical Church, Heartland Community Church, St. Thomas Moore Church, First United Methodist Church, and Walmart , as well as all of the individual donations and volunteer hours that made this event possible.
