Working a Pantry shift
Work in the Pantry when it is open to the public. Greet individuals and families who come to the Pantry, help them get food and/or clothing, make up sacks of food for future use, shelve donated food, and complete general cleaning and straightening. Shift hours are Tuesday 9:45-12:15 , Tuesday 2:45-6:15 , Thursday 2:45-6:15 , Saturday 9:45-12:15 . We especially need help on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Sacking food
Come when the Pantry is closed and make up sacks that will be given out when the Pantry is open (flexible hours).

Picking up donated food
Pick up food from retailers that have agreed to donate to the Pantry (times vary).

Organizing clothing
Gather, sort, arrange, and put away clothing donations (flexible hours).

Delivering food
Deliver food to homebound people as needed (times vary).

Administrative support
Do administrative support work such as scheduling volunteers, keeping records, writing thank-you notes, etc. (flexible hours).

Special projects
Help with special support projects, such as updating the website, creating recipes, and collecting coupons (flexible hours).

Food and clothing drives
Work with teams during scheduled food and clothing drives to collect, sort, and put away donations (scheduled once or twice a year).

Serving on a leadership team
Work with one of the 5 committees who suport the pantry: Operations, Volunteer Support, Fundraising, Finance, and Marketing. Committees generally meet each month and participate in additional activities as needed.
